HOLIDAY BRUNCH: Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria This sweet-meets-tart brew (courtesy of Apartment Therapy food blog The Kitchn) is the perfect reason to rise and sip.

Ingredients 2 apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced 1/2 cup cognac 2 cups apple cider 750ml bottle cava (or other dry sparkling wine) 1/4 cup chilled pomegranate seeds

Instructions Add the apples to a large pitcher, reserving about 1/2 cup for garnishing. Add the cognac, apple cider, and chilled cava. Stir.

Fill the pitcher with ice. Pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice and top with sliced apple and pomegranate seeds.

For each cocktail, pour 2 ounces rum mixture into a Collins glass filled with ice and top off with 2-3 ounces of chilled sparkling wine. Garnish each with an orange twist.

Instructions Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and frothy. Rim chilled martini glasses with graham cracker crumbs. Pour mixture into glasses and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
