Double Duty

Given her broadcast experience at Full Frontal Fashion, fashion public relations background and now as Harper Bazaar’s web editor, Kerry Pieri is well immersed in all things fashion.

Her in-the-know savvy is reflected in her bohemian-chic meets architectural edge personal style. A billowy maxi skirt here, a structured jacket there, and a dash of something effortlessly dramatic, be it a smoldering lip color or collared necklace; Kerry’s look embodies perfect insouciance—even on her off-duty days.

This early spring weekend, Kerry invited us along as she goes from the office to Sunday brunch without ever skipping a style-beat. For a Friday packed with back-to-back designer interviews and studio visits, Kerry opted for a slouchy black velvet suit with a cozy t-shirt layered underneath. Complete with a structured Vince Camuto snakeskin clutch, her nouveau power-suit transitioned effortlessly from day to Kerry’s after-work dinner.

Sunday in New York means one thing: brunch. While most New Yorkers slip into their boyfriend jeans and comfy knits, Kerry adds a little polish to her outfit with a geometric necklace and square cross body bag. Kerry adds, “I wore skinny dark denim with a pin-striped button down finished with animal print pumps.” We especially love her fur vest, which nods to her style’s boho undercurrent. However, with fickle New York weather, Kerry swapped out the fur vest; “I stopped home and changed into boots and a coat to do a little shopping because I hadn't realized how freezing it was.” Even with a simple change, Kerry’s outfit is classic and trend-right with her long coat and playful top knot—that perfect weekend look that proves, for Kerry, style never really takes a day off.
