Never short of an original gift idea, a fresh way to wear your longtime fashion favorites, and surprising, “Oh, we never knew that!” beauty tips, PageDaily’s Melissa Meyers is a veritable powerhouse of style advice and tricks.
PageDaily is an addicting read with Melissa and her team covering everything from the best spring cleaning practices to the latest must-have denim. In turn, we’ve long admired Melissa’s polished bohemian style which translates from her wardrobe to her blog to the array of fashion finds she curates for shopping destination, OpenSky.
A New York City native, Melissa recently moved to Los Angeles. This weekend, we palled around with Melissa as she browses the shops of Brentwood, enjoys art at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, soaks up the beautiful California weather and shares some of her keen styling tips for spring!
“Every woman needs a tote bag,” explains Melissa of the Vince Camuto Coco Tote and points out, “I love that the bottom is structured—makes it so easy to find everything!” We’re definitely garnering inspiration from Melissa’s mix of two animal prints with her bag and scarf, perfect for a sunny spring day of shopping in Brentwood, California.
On Saturday, Melissa takes in some art and culture at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and pauses for a photo-op in front of the Penetrable in Neon Lime installation by Jesus Rafael Soto. We love how the bright bag complements the brilliant art installation. When it comes to this polished off-duty look, Melissa says, “I love this navy top with a splash of mint green, it's slouchy fit and cool boho pattern. I wear it with dark blue denim or white jeans, and throw on an oversized boyfriend blazer and bright bag or shoe to complete the look.”
For shopping at the eclectic Zouk Los Angeles boutique in Los Angeles, Melissa opts for softer look. In a sweet cardigan and jeans, Melissa looks perfectly weekend-chic, “The ivory cardigan with its lace flower pattern in front is feminine and flirty--perfect to wear out for a day of shopping!” As always, we couldn’t agree with her more!
