In her position as Lord & Taylor’s associate fashion director, Mosha Lundstrom taps into her keen sense of style and journalistic skills honed during her tenure as a fashion news editor for Flare magazine.
Working with both the Lord & Taylor US team and Hudson’s Bay in Canada, Mosha explains, “My day-to-day responsibilities include attending showroom appointments with our buyers, providing fashion direction on our style books, preparing trend reports and product knowledge materials and staying abreast of new fashion talents to add to the mix in our stores.”
A New Yorker by way of Toronto who now resides in the charming Chelsea neighborhood, Mosha has rounded up a new repertoire of favorite local hangouts including the ever-changing pop-up shop Story, recently revived nighttime hotspot ACME, and the Brazilian restaurant Casa. “A spot I recently discovered by the [Lord & Taylor] office is The Campbell Apartment,” says Mosha of the hidden happy-hour lounge. “It's connected to Grand Central Station and used to be someone's actual home! A real New York throwback…”
This particular weekend, we tag along with Mosha as she ventures about the city shopping in the Flatiron District for new curtains and preps for a traditional English roast dinner. To kick off her weekend, Mosha jokes, “Let the weekend begin! I often get distracted by the fragrance counter on my way out of the office, especially the Tom Ford section.”
On Saturday, Mosha crosses off some items on her weekend errand list. Buzzing around the Flatiron District for new curtains before heading west towards the Chelsea Market to grocery shop, Mosha quips of her latest purchase, “Somewhere along the way, I also felt compelled to buy a skateboard. Must have something to do with my Chelsea boots (matches the bag perfectly) and pleated skirt, which are definitely channeling the '90s.”
“In our house, Sundays mean one thing: traditional English roast dinner with friends.” While playing hostess, Mosha winds down her weekend with a striped top and femme pleated skirt. “As I've been shooed out of the kitchen, my job tonight is setting the table, filling glasses and selecting the playlist.” After busy days in New York, a home-cooked dinner is a welcomed cozy ending to the week.
