CFDA Fashion Awards – Monday, June 2nd If the Met Ball is this Oscars of the fashion industry, the CFDA Fashion Awards are its SAG Awards, recognizing designers who have made incredible contributions to American fashion and are considered the style zeitgeist of the year. This year, pop superstar Rihanna will join the ranks of Lady Gaga and Kate Moss when she receives the CFDA’s Fashion Icon Award, the award bestowed to an, “individual whose style has made a significant impact on popular culture on an international stage.”

Shakespeare in the Park – Opens Tuesday, June 3rd Summer marks the return of the beloved New York pastime Shakespeare in the Park. This season begins on a light-note with Shakespeare’s romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing, a fun romp of mischievous affairs and flirtations. Beginning in July, the award-winning John Lithgow will take the stage as title character in King Lear—the classic drama of a ruler and hard and fast fall from grace. Father of the Year Awards - Wednesday, June 4th This year is the 74th Annual Father of the Year Awards. Founded by the National Father's Day Committee to elevate the meaning of Father's Day, the Father of the Year Awards honor patriarchs who are contemporary lifestyle leaders. Our own Vince Camuto will receive the Father of the Year award along with Governor Chris Christie, Football Hall of Famer Curtis Martin and Bloomingdale's CEO Tony Spring. Proceeds of the night will benefit Save the Children, an organization that breaks the cycle of poverty and improves the lives of children by creating a nurturing environment with quality education and healthy foods.

The Governors Ball NYC Music Festival – June 6th-8th The Governors Ball NYC is the East Coast’s growing and crescendoing answer to the West Coast’s Coachella Music Festival. If you weren’t able to make it to California in April, hop the Manhattan Ferry to Randall’s Island to see headliners Outkast, Jack White, Vampire Weekend and The Strokes. FIFA World Cup - Begins June 12th The FIFA World Cup is the premier competition of the top national football teams (that is, soccer to Americans and football to the rest of the world). Occuring every four years, the World Cup is a global phenomenon that lasts through July 13th with Germany, Argentina, Brazil and defending champion Spain predicted as the teams to beat.This year's competition is sure to draw added interest from even non-sportsfans following the host country Brazil's political and social climate.

Father’s Day – Sunday, June 15th First celebrated in June 1910 in Spokane, Washington, Father’s Day, like its maternal counterpart Mother’s Day, has grown into an internationally celebrated holiday. Celebrate Dad or the other important male role models in your life with a little bonding time.

The Fragrance Foundation Awards – Monday, June 16th Formerly known as the FiFi Awards, the Fragrance Foundation Awards celebrate the creative achievements in the world of perfumery. This year, Fiori Vince Camuto was nominated for the Consumer Choice Awards and, while voting has since closed, we’ll all have to wait with bated breath until June 16th to know the results!
