The Deco Ball – June 3
Pass through the doors of The Harmonie Club, a relic of New York’s Golden Age, and travel back to the heady and sultry 1920s. At The Deco Ball, guests can pass through three floors, each dedicated to the ambiance and musical stylings of a different city from the era. Swing your hips on the Havana dance floor, stop by Paris to hole up with your date in a dark, romantic corner, and finally kick up your heels in a Gatsby-worthy bash on the New York floor.
Summer in the City: Surf & Turf – June 3
This isn’t just any run-of-the-mill street-food fair. For starters, it’s hosted by Food Network stars Anne Burrell and Alex Guarnaschelli. The festival features summer standards reimagined by more than 45 of New York’s most renowned restaurant chefs, including Daniel Holzman of The Meatball Shop and Momofuku Milk Bar’s Christina Tosi. April Bloomfield devotees will also get an exclusive first taste of the Michelin-starred chef’s as-yet-unnamed restaurant menu. Bon appétit!
Bushwick Collective Block Party – June 4

Come for the killer fare and stay for the stunning live art performances, which include graffiti and street artists working their magic on building facades. Organized and supported by local businesses, the cool small-town vibe makes a refreshing change from the NYC norm. Check it out for yourself!
Adventures NYC – June 20
NYC Parks brings the great outdoors to Central Park! Scale the rock-climbing wall, learn how to paddleboard in the pool, cruise around the pond in a two-person kayak—plus loads more. This year the park will also host the Stihl Timbersports Competition, where lumberjack athletes test their logging skills and vie for the title of best all-around lumberjack.
Solstice in Times Square – June 20
Times Square could hardly be considered tranquil. But on the northern hemisphere’s longest day of the year, the hustle and bustle gives way to meditative yogis, who unfurl their mats smack dab in the middle of it. Quite the surreal environment to practice your Crow Pose, wouldn’t you say? To experience it first-hand, sign up here! (And hey, hit up Shake Shack once you’re done—we won’t tell.)
