San Francisco City Guide

San Francisco is a fashionista’s haven.

The Bay Area makes a great long-weekend escape and offers everything from Instagram-perfect vistas to a burgeoning foodie scene. Having travelled to the San Francisco on several occasions and fallen madly in love with it, I wanted to share some of my personal picks on where to eat, play, and stay in San Francisco.

W Hotel If you’re a traveler who enjoys staying at a hotel that is in the center of all of the action, complete with a contemporary vibe, then you’ll want to stay at the W San Francisco. The urban oasis is located in the Yerba Buena cultural district, two blocks from Union Square and the Financial District. Sleep in the lap of luxury with sweeping views of the city, break a sweat at the state-of-the-art FIT gym, or relax with a calming massage at Bliss Spa.

1760 1760 is a modern, casual dining experience laced with elegance. Located in the heart of Nob Hill on Polk Street, the trending restaurant offers a contemporary menu of delectable favorites like lobster ceviche and BBQ pork belly with a modern twist.

Jones Jones is one of San Francisco's most buzzed about rooftop bars—and for good reason. The industrial fantasia is the city's go-to hotspot for a blend of ease and scene. Expect to find an unsurpassed crowd of locals and in-the-know travelers, amazing music and skillfully crafted cocktails.

Fillmore Street If you're looking for a chic mélange of indie boutiques and high fashion favorites, Fillmore Street has it all. Take a shopping break at one of the many cafes like Chouquet or get a quick blowout at Citrine before heading to dinner.

Napa A trip to San Francisco wouldn’t be complete without a trip to wine country. Rent a convertible and take the hour and half drive up from the city to the lush vineyards of Napa Valley for a wine tasting. Make sure to check out the Chappellet Winery, known for producing some of the best Cabernets in the area. Fisherman’s WharfTake a stroll through the historic Fisherman’s Wharf and enjoy delicious seafood, scenic bay views and the adorable resident seals!
