Heading south for some sun this spring? We don’t blame you. Here, one of our favorite Miami natives, stylist and Kelly’s Kloset blogger Kelly Saks, to map out her ultimate day.
11am: Fuel up at El Palacio de los Jugos
The name of this South Beach juice bar translates to “The Palace of the Juices,” and it truly is a juicer’s dream. Kelly recommends starting your day off with a fresh Coco Frío.
2038 North West 27th Avenue, (305) 635-0156
Noon: Shop & snack in Wynwood Art District
Despite the name, there’s a lot more to see than just art. Browse clothing, gifts and homewares by small designers in Central and South America at Boho Hunter, break for lunch in the garden at Wynwood Diner and treat yourself to an adorable mini succulent at Plant the Future.
Boho Hunter: 184 North West 27th Street, (786) 558-4486; Wynwood Diner: 2601 North West 2nd Avenue, (305) 747-7888; Plant the Future: 2511 North West 2nd Avenue, (305) 571-7177.
5pm: Grab cocktails at Miami Mojito Company
The perfect place to grab a fresh mojito before dinner, this impressive 15-foot tall tiki bar made its debut during Art Basel last year. (Shh, the secret entrance can only be accessed through Plant the Future.)
2523 North West 2nd Avenue
6pm: Snap selfies in Palm Court
Your visit isn’t complete unless you show it off to all your social media friends. Kelly recommends heading a few blocks north to the Miami Design District for a quick photo shoot at the huge art-adorned, boutique-lined space.
140 North East 39th Street
6:30pm: Dine at Estefan Kitchen
Name sound familiar? Yes, this is Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s newly opened Cuban eatery! Snack on some of Kelly’s favorites—avocado salad, tuna tartare and chicken croquettes—while enjoying Latin tunes and oversize screens projecting vintage concert footage. We’ll go ahead and trust Gloria on this one.
Palm Court, 140 North East 39th Street #133, (786) 843-3880
