When did you start your blog?
I started my blog almost exactly one year ago. I love looking at visual inspiration—great images energize me—and decided I wanted to start creating images as well as being inspired by them.
What influences your style?
Color, people, different cities, different lifestyles. I am drawn to so many different ways of dressing that it can be hard to focus at times. I think this is a downfall of mine.
Does living in Chicago influence your style choices?
In Chicago, the first factor you have to think of when dressing is the weather. There are many cute combinations or ensembles I would love to wear that very rarely work in this city. For example, leather jackets with shorts. If it is cold it's cold, and if it's hot it’s hot and humid—and you don't want a leather jacket on! If you don't dress for the weather, it comes across as trying way too hard.
Who are your style icons?
I love Elin Kling, Nicole Richie, and Olivia Lopez. They all use their hair (specifically its color) as an accessory to their outfits. This is one of my favorite concepts recently.
What is the best style advice you’ve ever received?
Don't fidget with your outfit once you are out, that never looks chic!
What is your favorite local restaurant?
That's hard—Chicago is a food mecca! But I would have to say Schwa. It's an indulgence in every way, but it's unlike any restaurant I've ever been to. It’s an experience.
What are your must-see landmarks and cultural institutions in Chicago?
The Art Institute of Chicago—one of the best museums in the world. You can spend a whole day there and just continually get inspired.
Your favorite festive cocktail?
What is at the top of your wish list?
I love interesting coffee table books, specifically Tom Ford by Tom Ford and Bridget Foley is at the top of my list this year
Do you make New Year Resolutions?
I usually do. This year it is pretty pedestrian: Start going to Bikram yoga again and eating clean!

Why did you choose the Vince Camuto Belted Faux-Fur Front Coat?
During the winter in Chicago, a great coat is the most important piece you will wear for months, so you have to select it carefully. It has to be timeless, elegant, and work with many different outfits. I picked this coat because it looks amazing on its own, but if I choose to wear something underneath that is loud or flamboyant, this coat will still work! It is kind of fail-proof. I can wear it with almost anything and it will look like it was made for the outfit underneath.
